Paul McInerney, Lebanon, 2008

I tried Reiki for fun. I heard about it through Farida while doing an Arabic course with her at the AUB last year. After the meditation to soft music, I fell into a heavenly light sleep. I felt like my soul took flight and left my body. I remembered the times I visited my parents when they were alive and living in Ireland. Even though I was so relaxed and switched off to the world, I could still feel her working on me very gently. She told me what to expect and worked in a very professional manner. She definitely is going somewhere with Reiki. Best wishes lady.

Congratulations Farida, you have "grasped the nettle". your treatments will really benefit the people of your turbulent land. I was very honoured that you used my picture of Enniskerry waterfall,Wicklow for your gallery. It is also fitting that you mentioned the High Kings of Ireland who worshipped the Gods of Nature. They would approve of Reiki as it derives from nature. Many of my nursing colleagues are turning to these treatments to provide a more holistic approach to patient care, especially in long-term and cancer care settings. I wish you every success with your endeavour.Rosemary

To all who think of taking a Reiki course or do Reiki treatment,
Reiki is something that comes to you and not you to it, as happened to me about a year ago. The first time i heard about Reiki i didnt know anything about it. After some internet research I dropped the subject untill the subject came up again about 5 months ago. I was at a gathering and out of nowhere the subject of Reiki came up. It was then that I decided to check out Reiki practitioners in Lebanon. I found a couple and actually before starting with Farida I had checked out other practitioners. There is something about Farida that made me, feel at ease and want to take a Reiki course with her. It is very important when choosing a Reiki Master that you feel a connection to this person.
After taking Reiki 1 and 2 I noticed several changes in me, I became calmer, positive thinking became much easier. I now feel that Reiki has awakened me spiritually.
An important aspect of Reiki is that it does not interfer with ones religous beliefs.
I can go on writing and writing about Reiki for I have really benifited from this course and believe that the benifits will continue to surface for a very long time.
Thank you Farida not only did I find the right Reiki Master but also a wonderful friend.

Hello! Well, what to say! It's amazing where life takes you. I feel fortunate and blessed for having been introduced to Reiki and for being shown the wonderous power of our own bodies. It's hardly surprising that Reiki helps us to relax deeply, and through this, heal our emotions and bodies. I say this because when we cut ourselves, for example, our body immediately acts to heal itself by stopping the bleeding with a clot and scab. It stands to reason then that we also have intrinsic abilities to heal ourselves on different planes - emotional and spiritual - where discomfort & dis-ease but also inner peace emanate from. We are born complete. The answers to the solutions we seek are inside of us. Our life journeys take us to them.
