Beautiful Ramez, dear Uncle Raoulf & his new bride Fadwa bound for Australia
Greetings from Beirut, the city my father left in a passenger ship bound for Australia in 1948. Dad or 'Ronnie' (as he was known to his Australian friends) always espoused the wonder and virtue of nature, despite being swept along with the then new technological era of electrical merchandise.
Having been raised in the green and bountiful Chouf Mountains of Lebanon, nature was dear to his heart. He inspired me to have great respect and admiration for the wonder, beauty and gentle power of nature.
"Plants are only second best to children", he would say. "You nourish them, tend to them, protect them from the elements, watch them grow, then truly delight in seeing them flower."
I feel so fortunate, blessed and grateful to be one of his blooms. I believe he still tends to his seed.
I wish he were alive today to be able to show him the amazing power of reiki. He would be overwhelmed with its wonder, smiling from ear to ear, looking at his girl with silent amazement, trying to contain his heart brimming with pride and love.
Reiki does actually harness our body's natural and intrinsic power to relax & heal our emotions and physical bodies. Indeed, it truly helps us to blossom in our season.
I dedicate this site to the ever so gentle man that I was truly blessed to have as a father, Ramez Ali Abou Khizam (1927-1998)
