Laughter was the best medicine for Iraqi Refugees
Eight Iraqi Women Refugees attended a workshop with Farida Abou Khizam at Heartland Alliance in Badaro, Beirut on the 18th of May, 2011.
The women were in real need of relaxation and stress relief. They participated in a variety of activities that included: breathing; singing; moving; yoga; discussion; meditation and contortion.
While some cried and others experienced flashbacks and some physical tension, it was a pleasure to see all complete the session feeling refreshed, positive, happy, relieved and energised.
