REIKI FOR BOOSTING ENERGY

REIKI is an ancient Japanese Therapy that has similar effects and uses to acupuncture- but doesn’t involve inserting needles! REIKI utilizes the energy centers, energy meridians (circuits) and magnetic fields in and around the body. In fact, the leading American Medical Research Body, the U.S. National Institute of Health, defines REIKI as a ‘Biofield Medicine that employs electromagnetic fields in and around the body to improve health’. Overseas, REIKI is being employed not just in private practice but also in leading hospitals.
The main uses of REIKI include use in: stress reduction; pain relief; fighting addictions (to sugar, smoking, alcohol, drugs, work, sex, exercise, food etc.); alleviating insomnia; building immunity; wound healing; lowering blood pressure; regulating hormone imbalances; increasing immunity in pregnant women; increasing antibodies in breast milk; & reducing pain and stress in childbirth.
REIKI can help boost energy levels. It can do this by two means. The first can be by reducing stress levels and the second can be by detoxification (or cleansing the body).
When we are more relaxed and less stressed, we feel less drained emotionally and physically. Our body constantly listens and responds to our thoughts. So, it is important that our thoughts are positive. REIKI is used widely in stress relief, reducing anger & clearing fears. When we are less fearful, stressed and angry, we feel more relaxed and positive. REIKI can allow clients to feel lighter thus less tired.
REIKI can also detoxifies the body & activate the clearing of toxins by natural means. Detoxifying the body clears the body of waste products that block the natural energy flow. Low energy flow can result in tiredness and even sickness. Toxins can build up from toxic or stressful thoughts. They can also derive from environmental pollutants like pesticides, insecticides; possibly even from cell phone electromagnetic radiation, smog and car exhaust. Or, toxins can build up from what we ingest (colorings and preservatives in foods), inhale (smoke) or apply to our bodies (certain creams/lotions/deodorants).
Having a REIKI session or simply learning to do REIKI to yourself in a short workshop, boosts the body’s immune system and helps the detoxification process clear energy-draining toxins. As a result, clients often temporarily find themselves going to the bathroom more, sweating or sometimes, even crying after a session. These are all ways the body flushes out toxic materials to keep it clean, energized and functioning well. Additionally, some people feel the need to sleep after REIKI sessions. Sleep too allows the body to heal and re-boot.
Clients can learn to do reiki on themselves or have treatments performed on them by a qualified practitioner.
